Social Proofer

Show website visitors the good things happening on your social media. Positive reviews, comments and happy customers. This builds trust in your brand and can be done without having the customer leave your website and having to go to the social pages and deterring from the conversion. The social proofer makes this process simple.

Urgent Coupon

Offer users the chance to get a discount for a limited time. This creates the illusion of a time constraint that encourages them to go ahead with a purchase they may not have otherwise made on your website. You can also add an email box so the coupon is sent to the customers email. If the user decides not to go ahead with the purchase you can enquire as to why (by using the email you got) or send them great content encouraging them to visit again.

You are a Winner! Popup

Making users feel like they are lucky in having visited your page automatically makes them inclined to make a purchase because they wouldn't want to throw away such a rare event. There is also the option of collecting the users email when sending out the coupon code to the lucky winner which allows you to shower them with (hopefully non-spammy) reasons to come back if they don't decide to go through with the code.

Scroll Down Newsletter Signup Box

If your website has any focus on content then it is worthwhile making it very apparent that this is the case. The newsletter signup box allows you to show each new visitor a signup box whenever they visit your site letting them know that you provide amazing content direct to their inbox. You can also combine this with a freebie eg. Get my 1000 amazing secrets to increase conversions to your website for free !

Most people already use a newsletter signup box but they are never as apparent as one that takes up the entire screen (and that they need to scroll past) before they can actually view the content on your site.

Freebie Signup Box

This follows the same logic as the scroll down newsletter signup box, however in this case you can more easily offer a free item in return for an email. It might not seem like it at the time you give away a free product but an email from your demographic will in most cases far outweigh the value of the freebie.

Consistently reminding users of specials, content or promotions through emails reinforces your brand in their subconscious, enabling them to make a purchase, recommend your items to a friend or even purchase them as a gift.

Are you Interested ? Popup

Asking the potential customer or subscriber a simple question activates their decision making brain. Making sure the question is of particular importance to a problem that they have increases the chances that you will convert a website user into something more significant. eg. Do you want to convert more website visitors into sales ? It's hard to say no to something like that. Especially when the 'no' button seems like it's not an option !

Once the answer to the question is re-inforced, the potential client is asked to enter their email as a follow-up, this is a no-brainer for them at this point. As is probably obvious from our previous tools, emails are the chickens which will lay our golden eggs for us.

Top Bar Newsletter Signup Box

Similar to the scroll down newsletter signup box except it is not as prominent or obtrusive, it features at the top of your pages and follows the user as they scroll. Use this if you aren't such a big fan of 'in your face' marketing but would rather entrust the user to go the distance for you or let your content or products speak for themselves.

Live Customer Stats

I remember my first time seeing live stats about purchases that were being made 'live' as I was browsing a website. It made me feel like If I don't act now, the product that I was looking at would be out of stock. Giving an impression that a product is more in demand than it appears really gives an impression of scarcity. A lot of sites use this now (eBay, airbnb, wotif, booking.com) for this very reason and it works really well if your service or product has a limited quantity.

Simple Coupon

Similar to the Urgent Coupon except this time without a time constraint. Sometimes with the added time constrain factor, some customers may feel as though they are being 'pressured' into doing something they wouldn't do otherwise. If your demographic seems more inclined to this behaviour then you are better off going with a simple coupon approach. It still ensures you get the email in the end and as a result you get all the relevant goodness.

Urgent! Bar

Display a countdown on the top bar which creates a sense of urgency alongside a great opportunity which the target customer would love to receive. Combine this with an email form for maximum effect.
